  • DDAA is an architectural and design practice that works on multidisciplinary fields: architecture, city planning, landscape, interior, product, and concept making. DDAA LAB is a research and experimental design laboratory centering on architectural thinking, which aims to solve social challenges. Two collectives repeatedly give feedback with each other to propose innovative ideas to society.

Daisuke Motogi

  • Founder of DDAA and DDAA LAB / Member of a creative association CEKAI / Manager of shared space Happa
  • Born in Saitama, Japan in 1981. After graduating from Musashino Art University in 2004, he joined to Schemata Architects. In 2010, he established his own architectural and design practice DDAA. In 2019, he established R&D organization DDAA LAB with Mistletoe Inc.; a Collective Impact Community that advocates a new style of business through startup support, to solve social challenges. In 2021, he participated in the Japan Pavilion at the 17th International Architecture Exhibition - Venice Biennale. In 2021-2023, he was a part-time lecturer at Tokyo University of the Arts.
